How Morgan Stanley Supports Utah Women in Business

Morgan Stanley champions women in the workplace by investing in their career success and advancement. From active recruitment and targeted professional development to resources that address the challenges women face, the firm demonstrates its support of its diverse workforce. To help women thrive and build rewarding careers, the firm offers tuition reimbursement, student loan refinancing, career mobility, remote work options, flexible work arrangements, and “returnships” for women transitioning back to work after a career break. Morgan Stanley’s Salt Lake Women’s Network supports networking, empowering members to connect, share experiences, develop professionally, support each other, and give back to the community through volunteering.

Morgan Stanley also offers industry-leading benefits to help women and their families stay healthy – mentally, physically, and financially – at all life stages, including extensive family support resources, free virtual medical care, medical second opinions for employees and their extended family, including parents and grandparents, a robust mental health benefit, a 401k plan with firm contributions up to 6%, a stock purchase plan and money coaches.

At Morgan Stanley, family matters. All new parents, whether through birth, adoption, surrogacy, foster care placement, or legal guardianship, receive 16 weeks of paid leave. Employees giving birth receive an additional six to eight weeks of paid medical leave, resulting in a total of 22 to 24 paid weeks off for most women. Additionally, the firm’s family-building benefit includes a $75,000 budget that can be used for in vitro fertilization, egg and sperm freezing, adoption and/or surrogacy, including attorney fees, legal expenses, and the surrogate’s health care.
