In June 2021, two of Utah’s prominent advertising agencies combined to form MāHK advertising. The joining of Richter7 and Kassing Andrews was more than just combining offices and employees. The merger allowed the new agency to revamp its structure and create a collaborative environment.
How MāHK Advertising Champions Women
The MāHK advertising group is committed to championing women. Examples of how it supports women include childcare support, a women’s employee resource group (ERG), and work flexibility for Utah women.
According to its employees, a flexible workweek is the number one benefit MāHK provides. This flexibility includes remote work options for its employees. The company’s more popular and unique options are the employee-created workweek configurations. Employees can work four ten-hour days, four nine-hour days plus a half day on Friday, or a traditional eight-hour day. Each of these schedules provides additional options for flexible work hours. These uniquely-flexible work benefits for women in Utah align well with working mothers and those with added household responsibilities.
The merger provided the perfect opportunity for a comprehensive pay structure evaluation to recognize and address pay inequities. MāHK adjusted as needed to accommodate the market and the employee’s position and tenure.
The MāHK women’s ERG helps with networking for women. This employee resource group provides a space to connect with other women, strategize, share ideas, and support each other’s professional development. Additionally, it provides membership to external organizations that resulted in mentorships for Utah women in business at a national level.
