Nominations Open for the 100 Companies Championing Women Initiative

Sep. 15 2022

GOEO and the Utah Women & Leadership Project, in the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University, are pleased to announce the recent launch of the 100 Companies Championing Women as part of its Inspire In Utah initiative.

The 100 Companies Championing Women campaign recognizes and highlights the stories of 100 Utah companies offering family-friendly policies and practices, as well as women-specific initiatives known to impact the recruiting, hiring, retaining, and advancing of women employees, managers, and leaders.

“Inspire In Utah is a unique opportunity to promote Utah’s women in business,” said Dan Hemmert, executive director of the Economic Opportunity office. “We’re excited to present an opportunity for Utah businesses and businesspeople to be highlighted. Many companies are already working diligently to support women in the workplace. As part of Inspire In Utah, we hope to identify more than 100 companies and help tell their stories and the stories of women in business.”

“We’re excited to partner with GOEO on this initiative. We have some great companies in our state that are implementing innovative family-friendly policies and practices, and these need to be shared and discussed,” said Susan Madsen, director of the Utah Women & Leadership Project at Utah State University. “This initiative will help spotlight best practices. We’re thrilled to witness the launch of Inspire In Utah.”

By completing this application, all Utah-based companies are encouraged to provide their information to be considered for inclusion in the 100 Companies Championing Women initiative. As part of the In Utah campaign, the companies selected will receive storytelling and publicity on owned and earned media on the state’s In Utah and GOEO platforms.
